About Gadiya Gram Panchayat

Gadiya Gram Panchayat is in Khairabad block, Kota district, Rajasthan. For land records and certificates you deal with Ramganj Mandi tehsil; the district falls in the Kota Division. The panchayat’s LGD code is 40218.

Gadiya Gram Panchayat covers 5 revenue villages: Gadiya, Hanotya, Kola, Mandi Veeran and Udpura. Voters from all of them make up one Gram Sabha and elect one Sarpanch.

Gadiya is about 69 km south of Kota headquarters as the crow flies. It’s about 8.4 km south-east of the middle of Khairabad block. For trains, the closest station is Ramganj Mandi (about 12 km).

The Sarpanch and the panchayat secretary are your first contacts for the family register, birth and death records and MGNREGA (now VB-G RAM G) job cards. Income, caste and residence certificates come from Ramganj Mandi tehsil; the steps are in the citizen services section below.

Work and livelihood

As in most of rural Rajasthan, people around Gadiya live mainly off farming (wheat, mustard, gram and barley in the Rabi season, bajra, guar, moong, moth or groundnut in the Kharif season, depending on the area), along with dairy and job guarantee wage work. Since July 2026 that’s VB-G RAM G, which replaced MGNREGA: a household with a job card from the gram panchayat can get at least 125 days of paid work a year. Farmers can sign up for PM-KISAN and a Kisan Credit Card through the block agriculture office or a Common Service Centre.

Administration

Gadiya Gram Panchayat is run by an elected Sarpanch (village head), an Up-Sarpanch and ward members. Every adult voter in the panchayat’s villages is a member of the Gram Sabha. The Gram Vikas Adhikari (VDO), posted by Khairabad block, keeps the day-to-day records and registers births and deaths.

Every gram panchayat in Rajasthan has to form 5 committees: Administration and Establishment Committee (chaired by the Sarpanch), Finance and Taxation Committee, Development and Production Programmes Committee (farming, animal husbandry, minor irrigation and allied work), Education Committee and Social Services and Social Justice Committee (water supply, health, sanitation). The Gram Sabha has to meet at least twice a year, once in the first and once in the last quarter of the financial year. It goes over the accounts and approves the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP), which is then uploaded on eGramSwaraj. Any voter of the village can attend and ask questions.

Gadiya Sarpanch, MLA and MP

We haven’t yet verified the name of the current Sarpanch of this panchayat. The official sources are the State Election Commission results and the panchayat’s profile on eGramSwaraj. If you are the Sarpanch, the secretary or a resident, send the name and contact with the form at the end of this page, and we’ll add it once it’s checked.

A Sarpanch is elected for five years. The Sarpanch calls Gram Sabha meetings, decides with the panchayat how 15th Finance Commission and State Finance Commission grants are spent on drains, lanes, hand pumps, street lights and similar works, and recommends people for pensions, housing and ration cards.

How Gadiya scores on the Panchayat Advancement Index

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj's Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI 2.0) gives every gram panchayat a score from 0 to 100 on nine themes of the Localised Sustainable Development Goals. It uses about 150 indicators that panchayats report and block and district officials check.

PAI score
60.9/1002023-24ReportedPanchayat Advancement Index (PAI 2.0)

In the Panchayat Advancement Index 2023-24, Gadiya scored 60.9 out of 100, ranking 6th of 16 panchayats in Khairabad panchayat samiti (slightly ahead of the block average of 57.8). 2023-24ReportedPanchayat Advancement Index (PAI 2.0)

That puts it in the "Performer" band (Achiever 90+, Front Runner 75–90, Performer 60–75, Aspirant 40–60, Beginner below 40).

Scores on the nine development themes

Poverty-free and enhanced livelihoods64.0
Healthy panchayat69.9
Child-friendly panchayat58.1
Water-sufficient panchayat42.5
Clean and green panchayat72.5
Self-sufficient infrastructure57.8
Socially just and secured72.0
Good governance64.8
Women-friendly panchayat53.4

Gadiya does best on “Clean and green panchayat” (72.5) and worst on “Water-sufficient panchayat” (42.5). That 30-point gap shows where the next Gram Panchayat Development Plan could focus. 7 of the nine theme scores are above the Khairabad block average. 2023-24ReportedPanchayat Advancement Index (PAI 2.0)
