Villages in Dankha Gram Panchayat

This panchayat was formed when panchayats were reorganised in 2025, and LGD doesn't list its villages yet. Ask at the panchayat office which villages it now covers.

Work and livelihood

Most families in and around Dankha mix small-scale farming with livestock, local trade and seasonal wage work. Since July 2026, VB-G RAM G (which replaced MGNREGA) guarantees each household at least 125 days of work a year on village works such as ponds, roads and plantations. The gram panchayat issues the job cards, and wages go straight into bank or post office accounts.

Administration

Dankha Gram Panchayat is run by an elected Sarpanch (village head), an Up-Sarpanch and ward members. Every adult voter in the panchayat’s villages is a member of the Gram Sabha. The Gram Vikas Adhikari (VDO), posted by Sindhari block, keeps the day-to-day records and registers births and deaths.

Every gram panchayat in Rajasthan has to form 5 committees: Administration and Establishment Committee (chaired by the Sarpanch), Finance and Taxation Committee, Development and Production Programmes Committee (farming, animal husbandry, minor irrigation and allied work), Education Committee and Social Services and Social Justice Committee (water supply, health, sanitation). The Gram Sabha has to meet at least twice a year, once in the first and once in the last quarter of the financial year. It goes over the accounts and approves the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP), which is then uploaded on eGramSwaraj. Any voter of the village can attend and ask questions.

Panchayat elections

Dankha voted for its ward members and Sarpanch on 5 November 2026, in phase 3 of the panchayat election, and the votes were counted the same day. We'll add the result here once the State Election Commission publishes it. 2026ReportedRajasthan State Election Commission
