Since July 2026, VB-G RAM G (which replaced MGNREGA) guarantees each household at least 125 days of work a year on village works such as ponds, roads and plantations. The gram panchayat issues the job cards, and wages go straight into bank or post office accounts.

Administration

Khadat Gram Panchayat is run by an elected Sarpanch (village head), an Up-Sarpanch and ward members. Every adult voter in the panchayat’s villages is a member of the Gram Sabha. The Gram Vikas Adhikari (VDO), posted by Abu Road block, keeps the day-to-day records and registers births and deaths.

Every gram panchayat in Rajasthan has to form 5 committees: Administration and Establishment Committee (chaired by the Sarpanch), Finance and Taxation Committee, Development and Production Programmes Committee (farming, animal husbandry, minor irrigation and allied work), Education Committee and Social Services and Social Justice Committee (water supply, health, sanitation). The Gram Sabha has to meet at least twice a year, once in the first and once in the last quarter of the financial year. It goes over the accounts and approves the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP), which is then uploaded on eGramSwaraj. Any voter of the village can attend and ask questions.

Khadat Sarpanch, MLA and MP

We haven’t yet verified the name of the current Sarpanch of this panchayat. The official sources are the State Election Commission results and the panchayat’s profile on eGramSwaraj. If you are the Sarpanch, the secretary or a resident, send the name and contact with the form at the end of this page, and we’ll add it once it’s checked.

How Khadat scores on the Panchayat Advancement Index

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj's Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI 2.0) gives every gram panchayat a score from 0 to 100 on nine themes of the Localised Sustainable Development Goals. It uses about 150 indicators that panchayats report and block and district officials check.

PAI score
54.0/1002023-24ReportedPanchayat Advancement Index (PAI 2.0)

In the Panchayat Advancement Index 2023-24, Khadat scored 54.0 out of 100, ranking 30th of 32 panchayats in Abu Road panchayat samiti (slightly behind the block average of 59.8). 2023-24ReportedPanchayat Advancement Index (PAI 2.0)

That puts it in the "Aspirant" band (Achiever 90+, Front Runner 75–90, Performer 60–75, Aspirant 40–60, Beginner below 40).

Scores on the nine development themes

Poverty-free and enhanced livelihoods71.7

Water-sufficient panchayat39.1
Clean and green panchayat35.3
Self-sufficient infrastructure50.8
Socially just and secured61.7
Good governance55.8
Women-friendly panchayat53.4

Khadat does best on “Healthy panchayat” (73.7) and worst on “Clean and green panchayat” (35.3). That 38-point gap shows where the next Gram Panchayat Development Plan could focus. 2 of the nine theme scores are above the Abu Road block average. 2023-24ReportedPanchayat Advancement Index (PAI 2.0)
